Saturday morning cartoons...

Where oh where are Saturday morning cartoons? You know what I mean, bugs bunny, daffy duck, the roadrunner and the acme loving wile e. coyote. Can you get those on DVD anywhere? Seems like everything from the 80's is coming back, the clothing, the movies, everything is being remade. Where are the Saturday morning cartoons of old. You know, where the anvil or piano is dropped on someone's head and they see stars but are alright? We were NEVER fooled by that. What I do wonder is how fooled kids these days are by power rangers, pokemon and whatever other nonsense is on tv these days. I'll admit freely that I gave up on all that when my oldest nephew was watching cartoons (about 15 years ago), because it was all so fake and yet he really seemed into it. The rest of the kids too. They all seemed to 'not get it' when they hit someone and it HURT. Mostly because it seems like those shows are too 'real' but never show the outcome of the 'fighting'...

Give me bugs bunny anyday, or those little chipmunks chip and dale who would go into someone's garden and pull down the carrots and eat them until their little cheeks were stuffed full. No real way for kids to misunderstand that, now is there?
